What was your last test of courage?
How high can I climb the tree, can I cross the stream without getting wet, how does it feel to walk through nettles.
Not every child has the opportunity to try something like this, because you need a stream, a tree or even a field of nettles.
And then the parents shouldn't be around either, because they won't allow it anyway.
Today the tests of courage are different and often no less dangerous but simply different, because you always come up with stupid ideas - no matter where or how you grow up.
I'm not going to send my kids through a nettle field in shorts either! Only children (mostly boys) would come up with such an idea among themselves. So, the question is:
What's the point?
Children want to experience the consequences, how does it feel when... the older you get, the lazier you become in that regard.
As a parent, I have to allow it every now and then – and this can also be a test of courage – when the boy really wants to know how good the view is from a tall tree.
These can be wonderful successes, or, of course, failures, but you only know if you try! You feel yourself and realize what's possible if you want it. Qualities we need.
Often, we can no longer cope with the consequences of our actions; we immediately call the insurance company, because we're paying for it. A simple conversation would often be much easier and less complicated.
Because one thing's clear: you make the really important decisions yourself, not some advisor. Even as a child, I had guys like that standing behind me and shouting "jump" – but only from behind! And I jumped often, and it was either cool or not, but that feeling of success or failure only belongs to the person who jumps. And today I can say I still am. I'm brave every now and then, and that's really cool.
And now for the unathletic among us, you are also brave when you say what you think, just be honest!
I wanted to know again…
We've developed a very complex product that took a lot of courage even in its production – a loden fabric with sheep's wool fleece was specially developed for it. And since I still like to be like a child, I'm happy to go through with it and want to know – what if...
The result is the loden jacket with linen as the inner lining and a sheep's wool fleece in between.
The fabrics are all produced in Austria – short distances, added value in the country, and I simply like knowing the people I work with.
So, what was your last dare?
Just try it out,
… Time to change something, Strizi.
